Filter Branchnames

Hello,
I'd like to filter from iw_branch the brand and the locale.
brand and locale are always directly before 'Production',
the pathlength at the beginning differs.
Is there something like a "reverse Split"?
i.e.
$branchpath = /default/main/different/names/brand/locale/Production
@branch_parts= reverse split(/\//,$branch);
$locale=$branch_parts[1]
$brand=$branch_parts[2]

Any help appreciated,

I'm sure there are plenty of ways to do this, but I would probably use something like this:

my $branchpath = "/default/main/different/names/brand/locale/Production";
my @branch_parts= split(m|/|, $branch);
pop @branch_parts;
my $locale=pop @branch_parts;
my $brand=pop @branch_parts;

As an alternative (hard to resist):

my $branchpath = "/default/main/different/names/brand/locale/Production";
my($locale, $brand) = $branchpath =~ m|^.*/([^/]+)/([^/]+)/Production$|;

Probably better than mine, actually, as it's clearer what's happening. It also gives a better "error indication" ($locale and $brand not set) than mine if the path doesn't end in Production.
