WF initiation window for 'New Job'
Annad
Hi,
I am invoking a workflow using the new_job command in the available_templates.cfg file. However, I am also trying to put in some TAG_info() in the .wft file, but they don't get displayed in the initial window, rather the first task in the workflow starts imediately.
Here is the code from .wft file to populate the wf initiation window:
...
<template_script>
my ($user, $role, $branch, $areavpath);
init();
sub init{
($user, $role, $branch, $areavpath) = (__VALUE__('iw_user'),
__VALUE__('iw_role'),
__VALUE__('iw_branch'),
__VALUE__('iw_workarea'));
}
TAG_info(
iw_setwfarg_prefil =>
[
html => "Set EA Only
".
"Set EA and Submit
",
label => "

" .
"Please select one of the workflow:" . "

",
],
); #end TAG_info
#set up the wf variable for the extension and presentation of the final page.
TAG_info(
iw_setwfarg_tpl_ext => "",
); #end TAG_info
</template_script>
...
I need the first two radio button to appear on the window so that the user can choose one of the option.
Thanks.
Anna

I think if you don't have at least one required field, the form never renders and the job instantiates with no value. There are a number of workarounds for this, I think many posted here - search through the forums. For testing (until someone responds with the right info), can you add a required iw_desc textarea, or can the extension thing simply be required?
Sorry, I haven't done wft in a while - this may be an invalid response.

John is half correct. You need to have at least one required field that is NOT pre-populated. The easiest work around is to have a hidden input field that is required and has no value. Then onLoad, set it's value to something.
For example, put a field like this in your TAG_info:
iw_dummy_tag =>
[ html => "",
is_required=> 'true'
]
And then in your CGI_info, make sure you have something like this:
html_body_options => qq| onLoad='document.getElementById("dummy_tag").value = 1;' |
Hope this helps,
~Jeff

For whatever it's worth, wouldn't you think that Interwoven would have, in the last 5 years or so, come up with a more intuitive and less confusing way to configure workflow? Clearly this solution is not documented anywhere but here. Workflow has not evolved in any way since the beginning of TeamSite. It's pathetic how archaic it still is.
