Submit Task
infoForDj
Hi,
In my workflow, the submit task is submitting all the files present in the areaVpath and not just the files attached with the job to the Staging area. Is there a way to make sure that only the files attached with the job get submitted to the Staging area.
Thanks,
Dhruv

Are you using a real submittask or are you using an externaltask (or cgitask) that's using the iwsubmit CLT?
Is this workflow being instantiated from New Job or from Submit?
Are there any files pre-selected in the TeamSite GUI before you initiated the workflow?
Is your workflow checking for pre-selected files?
And, as always:
What version of TeamSite (including SP and/or patches) on what platform?

Given those answers - it should not be doing what you are saying its doing. If it is, then its a bug which should be reported to Support.
A submittask should only attempt to submit the files (and/or directories) that are associated with the task.
If a submit workflow is launched with pre-selected files in the UI and the pre-selected files are processed and attached to the start-task - then only those files that were pre-selected should be processed by the submittask.
If a submit workflow is launched without pre-selecting files - then the behavior is to find all modified files in the current area and attach those to the workflow as-if they had all be pre-selected.
I find it hard to believe that the problem you describe exists without anyone having discovered it before - but it's certainly possible. Maybe someone else can chime in with supportive or opposing information - preferably with 6.1 on Unix as well. (I'm just starting to play with a 6.5 system, not in a position to test this kind of thing out yet - sorry)
