Teamsite Passwords

Where does teamsite store user IDs and passwords?.As i know in Unix environment Unix IDs/passwords can be used for teamsite.Can we have different IDs/passwords other than UNIX ids ?.What about Teamsite ported on NT m/c ?.

If you port Teamsite on Windows box, it uses window's user management system to authenticate the users. You can configure Directory servers for Teamsite user management and authentication as well.

The user ids and passwords are of OS level. Whether its the local server or a domain being configured... we cannot have any other passwords for teamsite
