adding assets dynamically to a workflow

has anyone had any success or attempted to dynamically add assets (ie: pages, files) to a workflow?

What we'd like to do is to initate a workflow and as part of the initial task, add all modified files from a nominated folder in the workarea to the workflow. So all that the editor needs to do is simply approve the workflow, there is no need for the author or editor to specifically add files to the workflow.

Sounds crazy I know but it's a legitimate business requriement... we are using Teamsite 5.01 but are soon to be upgrading to 6.1

The first task in your workflow can be a externaltask - which you can code to add all necessary files.

See documentation on WFtask - "perldoc TeamSite::WFtask". It has functions like AddFile, AddMultipleFiles, etc.
