Checking other Data Types in a PT
Greetings all!
I have a situation where my final output page is a JHTML file that pulls in the output from 2 separate DCRs of 2 separate data types. So, the content is supplied from:
- templatedata/dir1/template1/data
- templatedata/dir2/template2/data
Each of those DCRs generates its own JHTML output file that gets incorporated into the final page. Both of these DCRs contain the same type of information about stores that sell a product. The difference is, one template is used for the primary stores (displays a larger image on the site) while the other is for the remaining retailers (smaller image on the site). In some cases, both DCRs could contain information about the same store. The information in each DCR is read into an array and then there is code that randomizes the order in which they appear on the site so that one store doesn't appear any more important than another. What I need to do is perform a check on one of the PTs, that checks the other DCR to see if the store that is processing exists in the other DCR. If it does, skip it and go to the next. Is there a way to check another data type's DCR from the PT?
An example:
If template1 contains information about stores 1,2,3,4,5 and 6, and template2 contains information about stores 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 and 13, then the resulting page would show stores 1-6 for template1, but the processing in template2 should strip those out and only display 7,8,9,10,11,12 and 13. Does that make sense?
