<xml-formatted-data> -<fields> ??

Hi,

I am using <xml-formatted-data..../> to deploy from teamsite filesystem to an xml file
I want to use
<xml-formatted-data file="$dumparea^/$dumpdir^/CMS_ServiceRawDetail.dump">
<fields>
<field name="serviceName" element="serviceRawDetail/0/serviceName"/>
<field name="path" element="path" />
<field name="state" element="state" />
</fields>
</xml-formatted-data>

Now, only the path ans state data tuple are appearing in the final xml.The service -name field is not coming.Any suggestions ?
What exactly does the element attribute refers to??
