Locked on import

Hi,

I´m having an issue when importing files in TeamSite. After using "File>import" command, I get the file imported but remains locked on users workarea.

Anyone knows why?. Is there any way of importing files without letting the locked?

I´m using TS 6.1 on a solaris system

"bloqued"? Do you mean "locked"?

I don't believe there is any way to change the default behavior of locking files upon import.

You *might* be able to force an unlocking of the imported file via an iwat script that looks for the "Lock" event - for instance, in my 6.5 Solaris iwevents.log I see the following(tab's turned to spaces for this posting):[Tue Dec 21 15:35:17 2004] userid role Lock area-vpath area-relative-path-to-file 0x0000100841bcd98740000499 userid Locked by file import operation.
[Wed Dec 22 06:29:10 2004] userid role Lock area-vpath area-relative-path-to-file 0x0000100841c95a86400009b6 userid Locked by file import operation.HOWEVER - it should be noted that the first line above (from yesterday) was related to an Upload of a file that I had previously Downloaded from TeamSite, and the second line (from this morning) was from an Import -- there doesn't seem to be a good way to distinguish the two events so this might *not* be such a good idea either.

A little additional digging shows (un-verifiable right now) that if you take that long objectid number and process it with iwattrib it seems to behave like so:iwattrib -o 0x0000100841bcd98740000499 prevversion
ERROR:02009: Could not locate specified object
iwattrib -o 0x0000100841c95a86400009b6 prevversion
0x000000000000000000000000This seems to show a trend wherein "uploaded" events return an error when you try to process the objectid with iwattrib and "imported" events return [essentially] 0 ... so you might be able to use this kind of test within the iwat trigger script to determine whether or not to run iwunlock on area-vpath/area-relative-path-to-file
