Vanashing workflows

Hi,

We have a custom workflow that creates dynamic workareas has a variety of serial and concurrent approval steps which ends in a publishing, deploy and audit step.

Every so often a Job will just disappear from within Teamsite. The workarea will remain but the everything relating to it within the task list has vanished.

We have taken away the ability for the user to delete a job and replaced it with a custom delete function that does the same thing but audits the job as a deletion.

Can people suggest where i can look for possible reasons why a job will just vanish from Teamsite.

Has anyone had this happen to them before ?

I have not reported this to Interwoven Support yet as i have not got a proven repeatable way of creating this problem.

Any comments would be helpfull.

What version of TeamSite (including SP and/or patches)?
What platform/OS?
*How* have you taken away the ability for users to delete a job using the OOTB menu item?

When you say the job disappears - you have verified this with something like iwgetwfobj?
Do any of your users have access to the command line on your server? Is it possible anyone is running 'iwrmjob' from the command line rather than going through the UI and using your custom menu option?
Is it possibly that you have a 'master' user who could be going through the UI and using the OOTB menu item for ending a job rather than your custom menu item? (I believe 'master' users and remove jobs even if they aren't the owner/creator of the job ... also, I believe task owners can do that too - at least if they're 'editor' or higher... been a while)
