Templating - Populating dependent dropdowns
xramaswa
We have a DCT with a drop down field (say drop_down1) that is populated using an inline command (perl script to query oracle table). This field is populated on DCT load.
There is a replicant field (say group_link) with the fields :
a. link_title - Text field
b. link_path - Drop down - To be populated based on the value selected in the drop down (drop_down1).
c. sort_order - Hard coded drop down with numbers (1 to 9).
The replicant field has a minimum of 1 and maximum of 9. That means on load the replicant will be expanded with 1 row. The author should use (+,X) to browse through the replicant till 9.
With this situation, how do we populate the link_path drop down on expansion of the replicant using (+)?

You forgot to mention what version of TeamSite you are using.
If you aren't there yet, and have the option - I'd suggest going for 6.5 - checkout the recent webcast regarding FormAPI for 6.5 - they've added [much better] support for interacting with replicants.
