iwattrib not working for some attributes

Hi
i m trying iwattrib on some attributes.
it is working fir name, size etc.
but not working for branch,area,currdirectory
it is showing something like this
0x000021000000000000007328

How can i get the exact values
plz help

Please show the complete command line you are trying to use - so we can try to replicate what you are seeing and/or show you how to modify it to get what you want.

i am using Teamsite 6.5 and follows the complete command that i am using in order to get the value of attributes.
e.g for area
/iw-home/bin/iwattrib //atlsdcg1/default/main/nextel_com/WORKAREA/Development/templatedata/promotions/promotionLanding/data/TestLanding.dcr area
but the output that i am getting is 0x000021000000000000007328

plz look into this

It appears that iwattrib is returning an objectid rather than a string value - which means that you would then need to take that objectid and use *it* as an argument to iwattrib, in your case, something like:

iwattrib -o 0x000021000000000000007328 name

However, also in your case, if you already know the full vpath to the file in question, why are you using iwattrib to try to determine the path to the file, it's branch, or workarea? You could do that trivially enough with Perl. e.g.:

my $fullvpath = "//atlsdcg1/default/main/nextel_com/WORKAREA/Development/templatedata/promotions/promotionLanding/data/TestLanding.dc";
(my $branchvpath = $fullvpath) =~ s|^(.*)/(WORKAREA|STAGING|EDITION)/.*$|$1|;
(my $workarea_name = $fullvpath) =~ s|^.*/WORKAREA/([^/]+)/.*$|$1|;
etc.
