Virtual Folders
Paul_F
Are Virtual Folders available accross workspaces and/or facilities? For instance, can I utilize a virtual folder in Workspace A1 located in Facility A from Workspace B2 located in Facility B?

Yes, Virtual Folders can provide results from any number of WorkSpaces, regardless if they are within the same facility. When you add a new virtual folder, you define which WorkSpaces (current, selected, all subscribed, or all) the Virtual Folder should poll.

Hi,
I tried to use the "virtual folder" or "reference folder" in a Knowledgespace, but it doesn't entirely working. Clicking on a document within the virtual view will cause a JavaScript error. But zooming into the view will allow you to open the document just fine.
Do you guys know if it would work for a Knowledge Space?
Thanks,
Son.

The reference folder connector works fine for me in both Knowledge Spaces and Workspaces.
Look at your Tomcat logs to see what the specific error is maybe?
We are running MP 4.1, hf4a, Tomcat 1.4.30, Java 1.4.2_05, IIS 6. Some clients use MS's java package some use Sun's. No one uses tje latest Java 1.5 release as the check scripts block them at the login page, though if you bypass that script you can log in.
One gotcha working with Reference Folders is the security policies. Your users must have rights to both the WS or KS as well as being allowed access to the actual item. I hope that's clear.
