TeamSite 6.0 and W2K SP4

Checking out the 6.0 compatibility matrix, it does not look like W2K SP4 is supported in TeamSite 6.0.

Was there ever a patch released for 6.0 that will allow us to upgrade to W2K SP4?

As of this thread it does not look like a patch has been released but I would like a more definite answer.

The client infrastructure team is looking to upgrade to SP4 now and we were not planning on upgrading to TeamSite 6.1 until next quarter.

I know 6.1 requires SP4. I also remember a notice of a patch for SP4.

BTW, why are you looking at 6.0 when 6.1 is out ? It is newer, it has to be better.

Just to be clear, we actually already have 6.0 installed. And I know a patch was released for 5.5.2 to support W2K SP4 and that 6.1 supports W2K SP4 (at least according to its matrix).

I want to see if I need to push back on our infrastructure team or not to delay the SP4 upgrade until we do our TeamSite 6.1 upgrade (which we were waiting on so that all the "bugs" can be worked out since it's release in March).

Of course, newer is always better....especially with completely redesigned UI's, right?

FYI...official response from support:
"Unfortunately, W2K SP4 is only supported with TS 6.1 and not with TS 6.0 as you have already noted from the compatibility matrix on the support site...And, there are no plans to provide a patch to address this...I would strongly recommend you to upgrade to 6.1 if W2K SP4 platform is desired."

So I will be pushing back our infrastructure team on the W2K SP4 upgrade until after we've upgraded to 6.1 (and resolved any bugs we find there....not that I'm anticipating any, right?).
