Module to return branch name, branch path, etc

Gidday all,

I would like to write a module to be used by either my presentation templates or ipls that has methods that return

1) branch path
2) branch name
3) workarea
4) local path

from a dcr path

this is what I have written so far can any of you perl gurus see any holes in this

given the following path for example

/.iwmnt/default/main/det/oli-intranet.admin.tafe/WORKAREA/work/templatedata/Navigation/PrimaryMenu/data/primarymenu

}I believe the anchors should be outside the parens (it might not matter) and that you really want the first two parens to be nested and to probably not include the leading segment of the path - and that you really only want to match as opposed to substitute - something like:sub getParts

if ($dcrPath =~ m!^(/\.?iwmnt|//[^/]+|)(/.*/([^/]+))/WORKAREA/(.*?)(/.*)$!){
return ($2, $3, $4, $5);

}The above should handle paths beginning with /.iwmnt/archivename, /iwmnt/archivename, //servername/archivename, and /archivename.
