xsrinivasank

which version?

Do you have enough space on the drive with IWTemp?

Adam Stoller

IWTemp is on the client machine - not the server - and the Preview takes place on the server - so if space is an issue, it's a question of having sufficient space on the servers TMP (/tmp, /var/tmp, c:\temp, etc.) partition.

As alerady asked for - can you provide more details about the product version(s) and platform(s) being used?

Also - can you provide more detail about the error message, and about where you think this threshhold might be [rough estimate]?

The above information will be particularly helpful if you are going to follow this up with a call into Support since they're going to want to see if they can reproduce the problem in-house before passing it on to Engineering.

i have a similar problem (maybe the same).
i can't preview a dcr, but generate works fine.
but it seems that it depends on the combination of container in a replicant. in some combinations it works in other not.

the error message is:

Error in presentation template:/default/main/deka-de/WORKAREA/dev-deka/templatedata/de1_standard/zweispaltig/presentation/de1_zweispaltig.tpl

that doesn't helps really.
I am using TS 5.5.2 SP3 on unix.

it's a very strange problem. has anybody any ideas?

Thanks,
Jens

Hi.

I am agree with Gothi.
It is also based on the number of concurrent users,
using / genrating the html with the same .tpl

if you replace the .tpl with the new one / backup / or will try after sometime, will work fine.

This is what i face.

If the issue has to do with container combinations - then my guess is that there is some broken code/logic in your PT that only gets tickled under certain circumstances created by this container combination - and the best way to probably debug it is get a reproducible situation in the GUI (i.e. a specific DCR that has this problem) and then start using iwpt_compile.ipl with the '-ocode' flag to try and debug it.

that was my first thought too.
i have already done the iwpt_compile -ocode, there was no error displayed.
i think iwpt_compile is similar to generate and generate works fine with that container-combination.
So that could be the reason, that there is no error in -ocode file and my pt seems to be alright.
Is there a possibility to get an -ocode file in preview-mode ?

All I can suggest at this point is, if you can find a DCR that reproduces this problem easily - then post (as attachements) the DCT, DCR and the PT - and someone here (like me perhaps) might dig into it and see if they can determine what's happening (no promisses though).

attached are the DCT, PT and the DCR which can be generated fine and throws an error in preview-mode.
maybe anybody have a short look at the files???

Thanks.

From a very quick glance - here are some "suspicious" lines in your PT:

<td valign="top" bgcolor="{iw_value name="block_type_left.TEXT_BACKGROUND" /}"><iw_value name="$text_content" /></td>

if($width > 227 || $width == 0) {TeamSite:Tparser::error("Das gew‰hlte Bild ($pic_path) entspricht nicht der max. zul‰ssigen Breite von 227px: $width px"); }

<td><a href="{iw_value name="contentlinks.LINKS.LINK" /}" target="{iw_value name="contentlinks.LINKS.LINK_TARGET" /}"><iw_value name="contentlinks.LINKS.LINK_NAME" /></a></td>

<td valign="top" bgcolor="{iw_value name="block_type_right.TEXT_BACKGROUND" /}"><iw_value name="$text_content" /></td>

if($width > 227 || $width == 0) {TeamSite:Tparser::error("Das gew‰hlte Bild ($pic_path) entspricht nicht der max. zul‰ssigen Breite von 227px: $width px"); }

<td class="text12"><a href="{iw_value name="contentlinks.LINKS.LINK" /}" target="{iw_value name="contentlinks.LINKS.LINK_TARGET" /}"><iw_value name="contentlinks.LINKS.LINK_NAME" /></a></td>

These lines represent where you have nested double-quotes and/or what appear to be high-order-bit characters (the latter may not be an issue, but I'm pretty sure the former should be fixed).

You are right, the double-quotes are not very nice. I cleaned the code.
But it's unfortunately not the solution for my problem. ;-((

Thanks, for having a look at the files (maybe you'll find the damned bug).
I tried a lot of things today, like moving iw_case-block, delete them and so on, but no result yet.
The strange thing is, that is works for generate. So there are not many possibilities for debugging, except try, try, try.
