Again - can you provide more detail, perhaps an example - maybe even screen mock-ups?

I don't believe there is anyway to do what you are asking - but the more detail you provide (a) the better chance you have of someone providing a work-around, and (b) the better equipped you will be to file a feature request with Interwoven - since they're going to want a good solid use-case scenario to support the request before they bother trying to support the functionality.
