Html in templating

Hello all, i am in the middle of upgrading from 5.01 to 6.1. In our 5x templates users have inserted html code into the visual format window by viewing source then pasting in html code. Well, when i tried to insert html form action tags
into the source view, it goes i fine, then i save it and am able to see the form just fine in the visual format box, then close it. But when i try to reopen, i get a javascript error and the template fails to load. Anyone know whats going on here?

Do you have any javascript in the HTML that you pasted in visual format editor textarea ?

I would guess it needs to be XML complient.

Try

<form action='action.html'><input type='text'/></form>

Does it work with any other html, or is it specific to this case?

tried that, thanks. its something that worked in 5.01. Users would simply paste a form into the source view in visual format and it would work just fine. Any other html works, it just seems like the form action tag causes something to stop working.

its a bug in the VisualFormat.

You can't have <form> tags, since DCT is a form by itself.

The solution that was proposed by Interwoven is to put custom tags .. let say

<formXXX> </formXXX>

and then remove the **** in the presentation template.

OR use a pop-up mode of the VisualFormat
