Files not saving in TS6.1SP1

We've been encountering a very bizarre issue since we've upgraded from TS5.5.2SP3 to TS6.1SP1 (WIN2K). Files that existed in TeamSite prior to the upgrade are not able to have any changes saved with certain file editors when using direct edit (or when editing from File Explorer via a mapped y: drive). NOTEPAD.EXE and ULTRAEDIT are the "bad" editors I've identified so far.

Even though any changes you make are not saved, the file date/time stamp is updated and the file is flagged is modified by TeamSite. No matter how many times or ways you try to save, your changes just don't take. However, if you edit the file with a "good" editor (DreamWeaver and WordPad seem to a couple), from that point forward you can edit and save changes just fine with one of the "bad" editors.

If you revert the file back to a version prior to the upgrade, the problem with the file returns. As an additional wrinkle to all this, this problem seems to only occur with all our client machines. I can log onto the TeamSite box and edit files from the Y: drive there without any problems (which probably means it's probably a Window's issue of sorts).

I've had a case opened for this for about 3 weeks now. So far Interwoven Support is stumped also. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced anything similar to this.
