Permissions for Receiver folders W2K OD5.6
Piers
We have the requirement to have secure pemissions at the target web server for some OD content.
Currently I've given the relevant read pemsissions for the users, and have added SYSTEM as full control, as well as the boot strap user.
However when opendeploy tries to deploy into these folders, it causes the service to hang and then die.
What user account does OD need?
[The deployment configs are set to ignore ACL's since we have differing ACL's inside the teamsite environment to the live environment]
The logfile is as follows

We are running our OD rcvr as the LocalSystem account. However, we too are getting errno=5 errors when using transactional deployments. This indicates an error from the OS 'access denied.' Basically the file is in use and the OS will not let it be changed. Kind of like when you try to rename a file via explorer as administrator and that annoying dialog box pops up that says 'access denied.'
After working with support, they suggested that we either stop IIS(not going to happen) or deploy to another directory(why would we want to do that) so we moved away from using a transactional deployment. We have not had any issues like this when using a non-transactional deployment with multiple targets. Hope this helps. If you need any further info, let me know.
