Access replicant using formapi

I am new to formapi. I would like to access the replicants inside a container using formapi. Looking at the "userscript/position" datatype in the example provided for formapi, if I have the type, rate, hours & yearly fields inside sub-containers and replicants like below, can anyone please help me build the js including the init. Thanks
In my case, I have the link replicant element inside containers. I would like the docsize item appear only if PDF type is chosen. Can someone please help me create the generic.js thanks a lot!

Have you looked at the documentation on FormAPI ? There is also online reference to FormAPI: https://support.interwoven.com/library/manuals/templating/html/formapi1.0/formapi_1.html

Have you even attempted to write anything in your generic.js ?

I have tried writing the generic.js but have not been successful. I do see all the items. I guess I don't know how to access the replicants through init() and traverse through the replicants...Any help is appreciated. thanks. The documentation or the examples don't show how to handle replicants through formapi.

Thanks for the links, I would like to know how the event handler for the replicant item is called... I tried hardcoding for the first element, but with no success either... Should I call the event handler inside a loop? I used the position example and added the items under the "link" container which is a replicant under the "element" container, also a replicant.
I see all the items appear Smiley Sad

What i want is "yearly" item not to appear if position is temporary. Please tell me what I am doing wrong... I definitely know its the way I am accessing the replicants...

You have to do it in a loop.
Try something like this for replicant in replicant:
