initialized fields

hi, i am new to teamsite and having some issues with what some terms actually mean. this is for our metatagging requirements. can someone please clarify what the term "initialized" means. my understanding is that it clears the meta-data field, makes it null. other people in my team think that it means pre-populating the meta-data field.

Maybe it's me(surely...as usual) but I don't really get the question.I don't remember seeing "initialized" somewhere in metatager.So I suppose you are speaking "in general".To initialize a field is when you fill it in with a value.
