Test environment for upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1

Before we go through our upgrade From TeamSite 6.0 to 6.1 in our "official" development environment, we'd like to set up a test environment with 6.0, configure it as much as possible to match Dev and Prod, and then attempt the upgrade to 6.1.

Now our only available spare box has W2K Professional on it, not W2K Server. I was wondering if anyone had installed TeamSite 6.0 on a W2K Professional box and played around with it as a sandbox (I have done this before with TeamSite 5.5.2)? We just want to get a feel for some of the issues that will pop up during the upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1 (I've seen some documented already in DevNet forums).

And I think Interwoven "officially" recommends using W2K Server but this is only for a sandbox.

I did exactly this before upgrading to 6. It worked fine for me.

What I did:
- install ts 5.5.2 on my desktop (win2k pro)
- migrate backing stores from prod to my machine
- test
- install ts 6.0 upgrade
- test

YAY! it all worked... okay to do same in DEV.
