list objects from database

hello,
I was wondering how can i , enable a DCT to take the list objects ( data for the list box) to be fetched from a database. Can anyone sugget me a way to accomplish this. I am using Teamsite 6.1 on win2k3 with OD6.0 and DD6.0.

If they change often or if it isn't a huge performance hit, use an inline to read the database and generate your options. If it is many fields, you may want to do one callServer to populate all of your fields instead of spawning many individual perl processes to populate them.

If they don't change that often or you notice performance issues with the inline, create a process that regenerates your DCT with the new options any time the values in the database change.
