Multiple Document Numbers in a Document Search

Hi all

We are in the process of upgrading from Worksite 4.2 to 8. We have a lot of pages set up by users that have document searches on them. They have got into the habit of using a list of document numbers separated by commas to list a set of documents. This does not work in Worksite 8, the commas are removed, however it does work from a document search form.

Am I missing something or is there a problem with the document search?

Can you be more specific if possible with examples? What error do you get when you take off the commas?

The problem is if a document search has been set up on a page with the following in the document number field '100002,100003' (without the quotes) it will bring back both documents using Worksite 4.2 but the same seach does not work in Worksite 8. Worksite 8 strips the commas from the document search when I look at the seach after it fails.

Tthe error that comes back is '[Folders][Contents(get)]Invalid parameter for request'

However if I put a document seach form on the page and then put the same information into the document number field as I did in the document seach above it works.

I think it must be a bug if it works for one and not the other unless there is something I am missing. This is a big problem as most of our users use this to hold together disparate information together. We cannot pull this information into 1 folder or change profile information.

I have got the folloing feedback from Worksite-Eurosupport

Hi Mike

I believe that this issue has been logged as a bug with reference number 27732. A fix for this bug is estimated to be released in version 8.1 for Worksite Web. As yet I have no release date for this.

The only work-around for this is to edit the search criteria in Desksite or Filesite. Subsequent editing of the search criteria in Worksite Web will recreate the issue.
