Set visibility on form fields on load

I currently have a DCT containing multiple nested replicants(replicant/replicant/replicant/item). I have certain groups of fields within replicants visible depending on what is selected from a select list. I have this working fine when the DCT is first loaded or when filling out the DCT, but when I reopen the DCR to edit it, all fields I had hidden are exposed. How can you capture all instances of certain replicants on load whether you are creating a new DCR or editing one? I'm currently using, "IWDatacapture.getItem("/SECTION[1]/PARAGRAPHS[1]/CNTNT_DETAIL[1]/FILE_LOCATION").setVisible(false);", but that only takes care of the first instance.

Take a look at the IWItem.getChildren() method. You can use that to "walk" through each child node of your replicant

Below is a stripped version of the code I'm working with. While IWDatacapture.getItem("/SECTION[1]/PARAGRAPHS[1]/CNTNT_DETAIL[1]").getChildren(); with a for loop gets me the children, I still have the problem of what to do about the possibility of additional replicants at each level. I tried to do the above without the [1]s, but I get an error. Maybe I'm not understanding your solution.
