Datum properties configuration question

Hi ,

I have 2 questions related to the way Datums behave in Content XSL.

1. PageLink Datum
The PageLink Datum has default 2 radio buttons, i. choose page from sitemap, ii. External URL.
Question : Is there is anyway to configure "BROWSE" field,( Like Image Datum) to choose page from browse window ?

2. Default Appearance of Datums
I have 2 groups( replicants) which gave set of Datum fields in them. But when i add component on the page, all the items under each group show as expanded items. I want to hide the Datums so that only add button is visible. Is there is any way to set Min/Max items to Replicant group. ??

And I understand that there is no way to show/hide datums based on some radio button selection.. or so. But please advise me how to go about it. I know there is a alternative approach to have DCR to do this. But my client doesnt want a new Datatype to be introduced.

the Page link datum allows for two types of links. Internal pages, this shows a flattened list of all the pages under the given site, and free form external URLs.

it currently not tied to the site map in any way.

Currently there are no customization hooks for component properties.

as you said the only alternative is via DCR's.

There are no max/min settings for Replicants.
