Local file Manager couldn't create the directory?

Could anybody say that why the following error is coming while try to import a file in teamsite
"Local file Manager couldn't create the directory? for keeping temporary files.Without this directory,Edit,Edit with and view will not work.
java.security.AccessControlException - access denied(jave.util.PropertyPermission user.dir.read)"

This is generally a JRE issue in your browser - but it would help if you indicated the following:

It also helps if you can narrow down the issue to a particular client machine / particular browser / browser version where the problem occurs.

What user are you logged in as in the Client OS ? Lets say Win XP/Vista .

When the "LocalFileManager" Applet Launches" it (user/browser) tries to create a c:\IWTemp directory so make sure the applet has those permissions and none of the ACLs(If Any) prevent it from doing so .

Do all users who try to upload/download files to Teamsite face this issue ? Try different browsers if thats an option or switch the Sun-JVM to MS-JVM .
