is "FS_Active_Area_Cache" ever changed by anyone?

I have discovered on all of my past projects the default value of fs_active_area_cache has never been modifie in the iw.cfg filed. But the manual describes this variable as representing the number of concurrent users. Which in all my projects has been far more then 4. Does anyone have any ideas/comments about this variable?

We have set this value to 20. (TeamSite 5.0.1, Solaris 8) We have over 200 users but 20 was an estimate of how many would be working in TeamSite at the same time. Since this affects available memory, you wouldn't want the number too large.
