Restricting visibility of folders under Branch

Hi All,

I am just wondering if we can restrict visibility of certain folders, say when user logs in, based on his profile, system should show only some set of folders under a particular branch.

We can restrict the access and also use content standard to make users see their folders, but i am more into checking if we can restrict visibility in Content Professional.

Can you please tell me if this can be possible?

I believe there is no such option to hide the folders till with the version 672 SP1, not sure about SP2.

As stated, I do not believe there is currently (as of 672SP2) any way to hide files or folders within a workarea in TeamSite (other than possibly prefixing their names with "zz_tst_").
You should be able to hide branches or workareas using a combination of file system access rights and enabling branch and/or workarea security options in the iw.cfg file.
You should be able to restrict access for navigating into folders via file system access rights - but the directory would still be visible from within the parent folder.

I think what you are asking can be done if its a Windows based Platform. You can give folder level permission inside a branch restricting users. Have you tried that ?

yeah.. we are able to restrict the user from accesing other folders. What we are concerned about is to hide the folders all-together, which now seems not possible.
