Servlet engine not coming up after uninstallation of TS 672 SP1 patch and reboot

Hi,

We have uninstalled SP1 patch to TS 672, and then rebooted the server, but after that Servlet engine dint come up. Below is what I see in server log:

It would help if you read this obvious error message and look into servletd_out.log and in addition also look at the servletd log. Additionally, you could post those logs on here as well.

From the logs, it seems the LogFactory.class file
(org/apache/juli/logging/LogFactory) is missing in iw-home/bin/tomcat-juli.jar

Can you check whether this class file is present?

Hmm.. You probably won't find that file in iw-home/bin. It is in iw-home/servletd/bin... Although I don't see it in tomcat-juli.jar... I thought it would be in commons-logging.jar? Or perhaps there is a wrong version? Anyways, you should always backup iw-home/httpd/webapps/ directory before running make_toolkit.ipl or install_webapps.ipl because they will wipe out those directories and look for those files that are wiped out.

Having a backup of iw-home/servletd isn't a bad idea either....

If you uninstall a SP you must re-install the webapps:

[iw-home]/local\config\lib\content_center\livesite_custome_src# build.sh install

Must run as root/admin.
