I'll assume TeamSite 5.5.2 since you didn't indicate otherwise...

You can copy the contents of a workarea, staging area, or edition using something like zip or tar - but you'd also have to extract all the TeamSite extended attributes and then re-apply them on the target server. You could do the same thing with OpenDeploy and make the scripts for extracting and applying the EA's into DNR scripts (a future version of OpenDeploy should provide this functionality internally)

If you have paid for MultiStore - you could potentially migrate the branch to its own store, zip/tar/OpenDeploy that store to another TeamSite server.

In either case, you might also have to deal with the iwidmap's to deal with changes in uid/gid/sid's between the two servers.

The upshot is, I believe it is possible but non-trivial to do this.

I have a similar problem with branch to branch deployments in TS501. If we upgrade to 552 (which should then enable us to have access to OD560), does this version of opendeploy retain extended attributes on deployments - or do we still need to write something to rip the attributes -> deploy -> rewite the attributes.

Do you have any examples/guidance of such DNR scripts ?

OD 5.6 actually works with TS 5.0.x, but the built-in ability to deploy EAs between TeamSites isn't a supported feature (yet).
