Error in downloading MP4 files

I am able to upload & prevew MP4 files in Mediabin Web Client.
But not able to download it using following retriaval tasks
- Video - MP4 retrieval task
- (Get Original)
- (None) as retrieval task

Using Video -MP4 inbuilt retrieval task i am getting error :
"
The asset(s) could not be retrieved from the MediaBin server.

•brizio_720p_1.mp4: Exception in Primitive {A141D164}! Reason = Unspecified error, Message = Unable to launch transcoder. Error number [0xfffffffe].

"

Which version of MediaBin are you using?

And why are you trying to convert an MP4 to an MP4? Not that I've tried, but maybe the MP4 transcoder can't handle MP4 as input. Are you able to retrieve some other video format using the MP4 retrieval task?

Using Mediabin 7.1

I tried Video MP4 format because using None & Get Original tasks donwload in not happenening. Eventually we also have to import this in Teamsite using DCTs. It fails in both the cases.

The Transcoder service is running.

Which other retreival task can be utilized?
or it requires some add on to be installed to support the MP4 download?

The (Get Original) task should work for every file type as it's just handing the file back to you. If you uploaded a corrupt file, it'll give you a corrupt file back.

When you say you're not able to download it using that task, what are you actually seeing? Is there an error message?

I have tried this with 2-3 different mp4 files. i am also able to play the mp4 files from Medaibin. Also able to download other type of media files.

Its only download for Mp4 download doesnt seem working. Does thsi require any codec?

Are you using web client or RIA client ?
Did you tried

->using the Windows client ?

->check the file size ?
->any other browsers ?

Check MB log files ?/ Enterprise Manger to see the error details .
