Implementing LOG4j in Custom java File

Hello All,
M trying to print the log by using implenting Log4j while calling a java class through Work Flow.

Like Java file Reside This lOcation

/appbin/interwoven/teamsite/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/src/com/corp/custom

and i want Logs to be printed here on this location

/applogs/interwoven/teamsite/custom/km

and my log.xml file is this like

And this Xml file is called from Java file for intalization...
Please let me know if there is any further info needed.

How are you loading this config of yours? My guess is that it conflicts with the one that's used by TeamSite. To my knowledge, log4j can't aggregate config files.

The supported way of doing what you're looking for is to add your definitions to iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/etc/conf/customer/log4j.xml. If you define a second logger, then you'll need to specify a different target for com.corp.custom rather than rely on the root config.

Hello ..
I put my log4j.xml file on this GIven Location.

/appbin/interwoven/teamsite/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/src/com/corp/custom
/log4j.xml

And after running the BUild This File Goes to this location..

/appbin/interwoven/teamsite/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/conf/customer/log4j.xml

So as like in Java file i have to intialize the looger First
m Using Log4j Jar and following line of code in Execute Method

DOMConfigurator.configureAndWatch("/conf/customer/log4j.xml");
This is used for taking the LOG4J.xml confugration .

When m running The bUild And triggering the work flow my logs are not created
i'm using this location That i refferd in log4j.Xml

Does the webapp file you pointed at actually contain your config:
/appbin/interwoven/teamsite/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/conf/customer/log4j.xml

I doubt it very much. that's the one i'm telling you comes from
/appbin/interwoven/teamsite/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/etc/conf/customer_src. The one you put in your com/corp/custom is probably ending up in /appbin/interwoven/teamsite/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/classes/com/corp/custom/log4j.xml.

Anyway, your DOMConfigurator would be looking at the classes directory so that would normally be fine. My suggestion was that you piggyback on the one provided by Interwoven, which is known to work, rather than trying to roll your own and trying to initialize it in a way that probably conflicts, which is why you're not getting any output.

I took the same path till LOG4j.Xml (Whole path).
Now its working fine .
M getting output. Smiley Happy
