How to Enable Email Notification in Publish LiveSite Content Workflow

Hi,

I am using OOTB PLC workflow and this is working fine but we are not getting email notification for Reviewer task and Job completion task. I have verified email_map.cfg & tsusers.xml file and emails are configured for users in those files and also iw.cfg file contains proper email settings.

Could anybody please help me to resolve this.

If you can figure out how to enable SMTP debugging in the mail program being used by the PLC workflow (it might already be getting logged somewhere) you can verify that the TS server successfully handed off the email to the email server.

If the email addresses are local to the domain (e.g. you work at xyz.com and all the email addresses are ****@xyz.com) the issue tends to be that the TS server is not authorized to connect to the SMTP server.

If the email addresses are not local to the domain the issue tends to either be that the TS server is not authorized to connect to the SMTP server or that the SMTP server views the address as a potential SPAM attack and won't allow routing to non-local addresses.

There are numerous web pages out there that can walk you through some of the testing (even without enabling debugging in the mail program used by PLC workflow) - here are two that I found with a quick google just now:
