How to configure E-MAil task in WFM

Hi,

I am using WFM to creat workflow and I created simple workflow with one email task followed bt dummy task.

I already made following changes in iw.cfg

maildomain=mycompany.com
mailserver=mailhost.mycompany.com
use_mapping_file=true
email_mapping_file=/opt/teamsite/iw-home/local/config/wft/solutions/email_map.cfg
debug_output=/tmp/iwsend_mail.log

email_map.cfg is having following entry

emailConf>
user name="sumit" fullname="sumit.k.katre" email="sumit.k.katre@mycompany.com"/>
/emailConf>

and workflow in wfm is having following entries

mail_template = /iwadmin/main/config/STAGING/workflow/email/reviewerNotification.xsl

ClassName = com.interwoven.ui.teamsite.workflow.task.urltask.ReviewerMailNotificationTask

target_task_name = DummyTask83

due_date = $IW_TIME

but while running this workflow I am getting following error

some more java errors.......................

I don't no where to mention recepient email address. any idea am i missing some thing?

This won't work. Dummy Tasks do not have owners, and the Email Task (whether using the provided Perl scripts or, in this case the Java class) use the owner of the target task(s) to get the list of recipients for the email.

Change the Dummy Task to a User Task (and update the target task setting accordingly) - and it should work.

Also note - for the Java class - you want to make sure that the email addresses for your users are registered in the tsusers.xml file (generally via the Admin UI for adding TS Users) - the Java class does not use the email_map.cfg file.

You should go through OOTB PLC workflow. In this workflow you will find task for sending emails.
Here URL Task has been used to send emails. You can take inputs from here. This makes easy for you. One thing make sure, two predecessor links of email task should be like:
default: Task Name + Success
timeout: Task Name + Timeout

That is defined in PLC workflow.

Since there was no mention of SitePublisher or LiveSite in the original post - why would you recommend use of the PLC workflow which is specifically designed for SitePublisher/LiveSite?

Hello Adam-

I am not recommending to use PLC workflow. I only telling to implement email task as per given in PLC workflow. Its easy to implement and it's email template UI is looking standard.
