Localize DCR into different branch

Currently when you localize a DCR, a locale folder in created in the source workarea and the DCR is copied over with appropriate EA's attached.
Is there a configuration such that the DCR gets copied to a separate branch instead of within the workarea itself?

If I understood then you want to copy DCRs from one location to another.
Is it right?

If you're talking about the "built-in" localization feature TS/LS/SP - I believe it is designed only to work via folders within a branch - and not across multiple branches.

This is based on limited knowledge of the feature based on some presentations I've seen. I have not, personally, used this feature.
