Or pick a tool. If there's a lot of content to be transformed, a third party solution like Vamosa or Kapow may get you what you want for a reasonable price.

If your generated content is fairly simple, extracting fields for the DCR with custom code may be pretty easy, and a tool may be overkill. On the other hand, if your generated pages are really, really messy, it may be that you find that having temps cut and paste is cheaper than trying to code or configure a solution that handles all the variances.
