Special characters not seen in the generated file

Guys,

one more problem!!!

Some special characters entered in the Visual Editor do not appear properly in the html file generated by the TPL.
for eg.. the text pasted from word document is seen properly in the Visual editor but not in the generated output file.

I am using UTF-8 encoding throughout the DCT, TPL and the output HTML file.

Any suggestions for handling these special characters??

I don't have an answer for you- but it would probably help if you supplied a bit more information about the "special characters".

What are they?
How do they show up in the VFE?
How do they appear in the stored DCR?
How do they appear in the generated page?

Also
- what version of TeamSite / TeamSite Templating (including SP, patches)
- on what platform/OS,
- using what browser (including version information)
- Is this the browser-based GUI or Java GUI for Templating?
