How to configure the .page deployment in Apache Web Server not in Tomcat

Hi All,

I am novice developer in Teamsite. I am deploying my .pages in pre-confogure tomcat6.0 server. Now I have recieved a new project where are only static html pages. So client requiremet is that page should served from apache web server.

Please help me to configure the apache server to deploy .page.

I hope you realize that you need a Java application container to render .page files.

What you can do now is change your PLC workflow to generate the HTML from .page files and send out those HTML renditions, but obviously any dynamic behaviour you had in your pages won't work, and changes to shared items (like the sitemap tree) would require republishing your whole site.

Could you please specify the steps, how can we change the PLC workflow to deploy pages in Apache Web server.

Please specify whether we need to intall separate web server or TeamSite have its own apache web server.

It should be easy enough for you to figure it out. The Site Developer guide talks about this quite a bit. Suffice it to say that the ootb PLC workflow model already has a task called "Generate HTML".

Changing the PLC to generate HTML is trivial. RTFM

You will need a web server on the runtime server. You will also need to configure OD to deploy to the correct location.

If these tasks are too daunting then you be in serious trouble if you expect to work with SP on templates and components.
