You could save yourself some waiting by reading the release notes...
No, the iwov platform doesn't support Java 8 yet. Even then, you have to go to TS7.5 for Java7 support. TS7.4.1 only supports Java 6.
I heard yesterday, TS 8 will be the first to support JDK1.8.
