Migration from MediaBin 4.6.2 to the latest available version

Dear community,

we have a very old version of MediaBin (4.6.2) and we are planning to migrate to a newer version. Is 8.2 the latest one?

Our mandatory requirements are:

- ability to run on a VMWare virtual server

- compatibility with Oracle 11g

- compatibility with Windows Server 2012

8.2 is the latest one. MB works will VMWare, oracle 11g and windows server 2012.

Thank you Shravan. Currently we do not know if our client has an active maintenance contract with HP (they're still verifying) and I guess that the full documentation (like release notes) is available only if so. The other piece of information we are missing is: are there any guidelines from HP about migrating from such an old version?

Upgrading from that version is accounted for in the installation guide, and mainly centers around database upgrades/schema changes. However, the Professional Services team has extensive experience in migrating instances running 4.6.2 and I would recommend reaching out to them for assistance.
