Publish LiveSite Content Workflow

Hi,

Does this workflow deploy to both the LSDS and LSCS? I have LSCS and LSDS on the same server, it seems like the LSCS files are deployed (teamsite-areadiff, commit-deploy, etc....) But the OpenDeployWebRoot did not seem to be running. If I am corrrect, LSCS deployments are in
od-home/conf/lscs
and LSDS deployments are in
od-ome/conf/LiveSite
Is that assumption correct?

Does the LSDS Database have to point to the same database that TeamSite is on?

Yes, PLC deploys to both LSCS and LSDS...

od/conf/Lscs/xml files for lscs.

Look into same OD folder into your logs...where lscs deployments logs shows in lscs folder and lsds shows in LiveSite Folder.

LSDS Database need not be pointed to same database. you can specify them in livesite-database.xml

Yes in 7.2. In 7.3, they combined the two so they're part of a single transaction. if lscs.enabled=true, it only runs the lscs deployment files and you'll notice that the lsds file deployment is part of it.

No, unless you used the same one at install time. Technically speaking, you need one schema for LSDS Preview, and a different one for LSDS Runtime. Whether your preview tables are in a schema shared with other TeamSite services is up to you. Note that livesite-database.xml specifies where to deploy the info, but database.properties (in your livesite_customer_src) is how you tell your preview/runtime which database schema to read -- obv those two files have to match.

So I ran the PLC Workflow, it and deployed to the LSCS server (I can see going to http://runtime-server:1876/lscs/v1/projects), but when I go to http://runtime-server:1776/ All I get is a page that says The site you requested is invalidad. Please select a site with a drop down with no sites to select.

Looking through the file system, I don't see the sites deployed to:
LSDS-Home/runtime/web...

check that everything is deployed, layouts, js, css, etc

Also, I end up bouncing LSDS as well sometimes.

Ok but so which version are you running? Does OD appear as though it tried deploying anywhere? Is your target path correct in opendeploy.properties? Is your LiveSiteRuntime in odnodes.xml pointed at the right place? Did the workflow report any errors?

Did you deploy default.site and .sitemap.

Hi,

Thanks, it was the opendeploy.properties file didn't point to the correct location for the opendeploy.runtimeHome directory (pointing to different drive on TeamSite and runtime server)
Also had to change odnodes.xml file, LiveSiteRuntime was pointing to another server. Wish IWOV would distinguish between LiveSite Display Services Runtime and LiveSite Content Services Runtime.
