Localization – Page update
work4u
I am using TeamSite 7.3.1 with OOTB localization capabilities. I have a site family with a master site and localized renditions of the site. When I create a new page in the master site I can select the option to localize that page and it gets created in all the rendition site. However when I update a page in the master site and want to localize it does not work. When I select the updated page and select the localize option it gives me “none of the assets are localizable”.
Is there a way to make a change to a page in the master site and have it replicated to all the localized site without having to update the page in each site.

Yes. Set the G11N/Translation Status EA of the child page to anything but "Translation needed" or "In progress". When you save your changes in the English, it should now ask you if you want to copy to the child locale.
BTW, this EA would automatically get changed if you were using the OOTB translation workflow (or incorporated its functionality into your own).

Thanks for your response.
When I click on properties of the page I do not see the G11N/Translation Status EA. I only see G11N/Locale: en_us and G11N/Localizable:true
Do I need to set this attribute manually after creating the page or need to use the Translation Workflow.
Please if you could provide me a little more details.

I said the child page. G11N/Localizable is only set on the master, so you're looking at the wrong file.
