Using Firefox 3 with iPortal & iServer Express

It turns out that iPortal versions 9, SP3, Fix 3a and before do not support the Firefox 3 browser. Most operations do work, but when you try to view a report, you'll get an error that says "Version Mismatch."

The workaround is to use Firefox 2.x or Internet Explorer to view reports.

This problem affects both the stand-alone version of iPortal, and the version that is bundled with iServer Express.

This is a known issue and will be fixed in an upcoming release.

For anyone else reading this thread, the iServer Express and iPortal (now called the BIRT Deployment Kit) are now on version 10 and support Firefox 3.0 just fine.
