South Korean currency Won (₩ ) symbol displays as ? in pdf

South Korean currency Won (₩ ) symbol shows up as ? in pdf. It is displayed properly in html report. I am using scripted datasource and passing u20A9 for won.

I have adobe reader 9.0. I have also installed Korean and Simplified Chinese Font Support for adobe reader.

Any idea how to fix this issue?

This happens with other currency symbols also. ex: ₧, ₣, ₨

Some currency symbols such as $, £, ?, Ұ are displayed properly.

How do I fix this?
