Calculate distance from two points(Latitude and longitude)

Hi,

I am using BIRT for reports. i am beginner of BIRT reporting tool.

please tel me how to calculate the distance either KM(kelometer) or Miles from Latitude,Longitude..

Can you explain more about your issue? You have two sets of long. lat. points and want to use birt to find the distance between them? Or something else? Let me know.

Yes, I have two sets of long. lat. points and want to use birt to find the distance between them.

For Example

Lat 1:53 09 02N , Long 1:001 50 40W

Lat 2:52 12 17N , Long 2:000 08 26E

Distance :170.2 km

You'll have to find or build a function that takes in long./lat. for two points and figures the distance between and use it in a computed column in your dataSet.
