Ya.. suppose i take two table layout and define a variable for aggregation there.. then can i use this same variable in second table layout. if yes, then plz let me know how to do it??

What version of BIRT are you using? I'll attach a simple example.

I am using BIRT report designer, trail version..

I have done it using global variables. is there any other way out?? Is there any other method??

GV's or PGV's was going to be my suggestion. Is there an issue that you have with this approach?

No.. infact i have done it using GVs. But I just wanted to know , is there any other standard approach there??

Nope, that would be the best way to do it.
