Web CMS (TeamSite)
Adding html files
neo222
This is probably a really easy question, but don't have the time to research it. Here is a quick synopsis:
A client I work with uses interwoven for content management. I do html pages for them and send the html file to them so they can upload them on their website. What is the easiest way for them to accomplish this through interwoven. Is there a file upload mechanism? Do i need to put certain tags in my html for interwoven to understand? This is propably a very easy process, I am just not familiar with interwoven.

You don't have to do anything special to your HTML files for them to be uploaded to TeamSite. There is a file upload mechanism, but it can only be used (out of the box anyway) by someone with direct TeamSite access (ie it's probably your client's responsibility).
Are you having a specific problem, or just trying to be prepared?

No, just trying to be prepared. I didn't think it was a problem, but the client keeps expressing concern that we haven't worked with interwoven before. So that's why I was questioning if there was special tags or something of the like that needed to go in the html file.

IWOV does offer web based classes, that might be a good way to be prepared. They are relatively inexpensive. Check out the library cards mentioned here:

It's odd that they'd express concern about that if all you'll be doing is supplying HTML (and presumably images etc). I suppose it's possible that the person you're negotiating with doesn't actually use TeamSite and is concerned solely on an administrative level, or it's possible that they expect you to do more than just supply HTML. Best clarify exactly how they expect you to interact with TeamSite. But if all you're doing is designing their site, I don't see why you'd need any TeamSite or Interwoven experience.

I think that they (the clients) probably don't understand what interwoven can do. Also I am getting my information from an intermediary source who I think is speaking with the marketing department of this company instead of the IT department. I am guessing this is where the confusion is coming in to play. But it was stated clearly that they would be putting the files into interwoven, so no confusion about our responsiblities.
