Sample BIRT Viewer on tomcat

Hi all,

I am trying to run the Sample Report Viewer on a tomcat server, but unfortunately cannot get it woking. When I try to access the Sample Report, I get the following error message (see below). Any ideas or directions where to go would be very helpful.

How did you deploy the Viewer? Does the user running the report have write privs on the WEB-INFplatformconfiguration directory? Tidy is deployed as part of the org.eclipse.birt.report.engine plugin.

Hi Jason,

thanks for your reply. The write rights on the configuration folder are exactly the problem. As this is managed hosting within my environment and there are certain policies which need to be considered I actually might not be able to resolve this. I am in contact with the support here for this. I guess there is no way around this in the end. Hopefully, I can get them to setup read rights at least for a limited audience.
