Total Page No is not getting displayed correctly in BIRT report
ramshankar
Total Page No is not getting displayed correctly in BIRT report when it is executed from the Actuate Management Console or Actuate iPortal.
It seems to be refresh issue in BIRT Viewer available in Actuate iServer since after navigating to next page, I could see it is displaying correctly.
Please find the attached screen shot and help me to resolve this issue.

Hi ramshankar,
I wasn't able to recreate this at my end but it seems like a bug. Can you report this this issue here:
http://ted.birt-exchange.org/
Thanks,
Ashwini

Please find the response from the Actuate Support.
This is not a bug, and the behavior is by design.?
The behavior here is related to progressive viewing functionality.?
Since the first page (or set of pages) is sent before the last page is
generated, the page count that displays in "Page 1 of N" is the page count at
the time the first page is rendered.? (In the attached screenshot 100 pages of
the 244 total page report had been generated by the time that Page 1 was sent
to, and rendered in IV.
The total page count value doesn't refresh automatically when the report
execution has completed.? Manually refreshing the first page, or navigating to
a new page after the report is complete does result in the page count showing
the correct total value.

The support engineer is correct. The page control in the report will not automatically refresh as the report is generated. The report will display the value of pages that have been generated at the time that the page is viewed and will be refreshed when one views a different page. TED 31807 has been filed to automatically update the report control as the pages are generated.<br />
